Meet the Artists
Ravindra Kamath (Ravi), a self-taught artist from Karnataka, India, draws inspiration from the natural world. His art, ranging from elaborate nature scenes to abstract works, reflects on the plight of the common man, especially through the lens of society. Having moved to America in 2002, Ravi's earlier conceptual pieces explored feelings of change and disconnection, while his detailed landscapes and florals now seamlessly blend with abstract elements, creating surreal and emotionally resonant works.
Rum Hansra’s work delves into the byways and highways of memory, creating a bold, vivid visual language through layering and collaging. Navigating the twists and turns of personal history, Rum's pieces challenge assumptions, leading viewers on a journey laden with surprise and revelation. Each fragment layered metaphorically represents a life experience, sparking introspection and exploration.
Sukeshi Sondhi, A multidisciplinary artist, explores identity, migration, an d domesticity through various mediums, including painting, collage, installation, and performance art. Her objective is to transform the everyday, elevating the mundane to make visible the invisible. Sukeshi's work invites viewers to contemplate the intricacies of daily life, revealing the extraordinary within the ordinary.
