Atithi Studios… Where Creativity Connects!
Located in the heart of the Sharpsburg neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA, Atithi Studios is a one stop shop for artists of any & all disciplines who may be looking for community, opportunity and so much more! The three floor building is dedicated to arts & entertainment with private studios on the second & third floors and a gallery which doubles as a flexible event venue on the first floor.
Our mission is to build a happier community through engagement with the arts. We serve as a creative hub for artists to gather together, while also investing in artists so they have the tools, connections & support they need to excel in their practice, in the hopes they will reinvest that energy back into the community.
Atithi, Bengali for guest, is an ode to Rabindranath Tagore’s story about a boy who chooses the life of a wanderer. It’s a gift to the artist community of Pittsburgh — respite for the artist soul. A place to give & take; to inspire & be inspired

Sukanta Nag
Founder | Advisor | Investor
Sukanta Nag has extensive experience in the technology and innovation sector, serving in various leadership roles such as Chief Information & Technology Officer at OneTen, Chief Information Officer - HR at Prudential, Chief Innovation Officer at Xerox, and Chief Innovation Officer at Buck Consultants. He has played a crucial part in developing technology strategies and implementing digital solutions for these organizations.
Sukanta applies insights gained from 20+ years as a corporate leader through Atithi to support creatives looking to accelerate their practice through mentorship and opportunities aimed at leveraging business development strategies to add capabilities, create community connections, increase brand awareness and amplify their impact.
Sarah Sloneker
Art And Gallery Director
Sarah Sloneker is the Director of Atithi Studios and holds a Master of Fine Arts from the Academy of Art University. With over a decade of experience spanning the arts, marketing, media, and community engagement, she is passionate about creating inclusive, community-centered spaces where artists and creative voices can thrive. As a curator and arts leader, Sarah is dedicated to fostering meaningful connections through exhibitions, cultural programming, and collaborative creative experiences.
Alizah Simek
Marketing And Event Manager
Alizah Simek is an Marketing & Events Manager with a passion for creating meaningful experiences that connect people and strengthen communities. She brings experience in event planning, marketing, community engagement, fundraising, and arts administration, combining creativity with strategic execution. A graduate of Southern Methodist University's Meadows School of the Arts with a BFA in Dance Performance and a minor in Arts Management, Alizah is dedicated to building authentic relationships, telling compelling stories, and delivering memorable events. She also works as a freelance photographer, bringing a creative eye and thoughtful approach to every project.
Mallory Tadaki
Ceramics Coordinator
Mallory Tadaki is the Ceramics Coordinator at Atithi Studios. With a BFA in Ceramics from Pennwest California and years of experience as a multi-medium artist, they bring a passion for creation and community fostered by the exchange of ideas. Mal can always be found playing with mud in one way or another, from harvesting clay out of dried creek beds to big community wood firings, they love every aspect of ceramics and find joy in helping others realize their potential.
Damian Catanza
Podcast Coordinator
Damian Catanza is the podcast coordinator at Atithi Studios, managing podcast studio, live streaming, and video media. A seasoned photojournalist, Damian worked for CNN capturing major events from 9/11 to the Super Bowl. Today, he focuses on telling the stories of Pittsburgh, PA, through his work with Pittsburgh (KDKA- TV).
